thinkAbout > welcome

This year we’re hosting our 2003 thinkAbout event in the heart of New York’s famed experience hub, Times Square. In and around this sensation-filled place, you can encounter every layer of experience comprising the Location Hierarchy Model we wrote about in our latest publication, the Amazon.com e-Doc “The Experience IS the Marketing”. Perhaps no other location provides such a density and diversity of exemplars that so boldly underscore our ideas. After all, if you can stage it here, you can stage it anywhere!

As with every thinkAbout, however, our time together focuses squarely on provoking you to think more richly about staging memorable and compelling experiences for your customers. To that end, we’re limiting paid registrations to 81 people in order to maintain an intimate, collegial environment. We’re taking to the streets for a Learning ExcursionEM so you can apply the principles of leading experience stagers to your business. And we’re spending the entire morning of the second day in an Open Space environment that enables participants to work on the issues personal to their business.
We’re also revealing in full, for the first time anywhere, the ideas and frameworks at the core of our next book. In the four years since The Experience Economy was published, one thing our work with companies and ongoing research with customers has made clear: In a world of paid-for experiences, a new consumer sensibility has arisen – the desire for Authenticity with a capital “A”. Finding ways to tap into this emerging standard of selection and criteria for purchase will become essential. To be blunt: business offerings must get real.
So come to New York and take a bite out of the Big Apple with us. Marvel at the energy and the humanity of it all. And be the first to explore how to understand, manage, and excel at rendering Authenticity in your business.
We’re truly excited to invite you to this, our sixth thinkAbout. We have an extraordinary two days planned and look forward to sharing it with you. Do join us.
